since 1839
More than 170 years of experience
In 1839 that Pierre BOISSONNEAU bought this estate which is situated in the area of the Bordeaux appellation, on the Entre-Deux-Mers plateau.
It was Eleanor of Aquitaine in 1150, then Queen of England, who ordered the first vines to be planted here by monks.
During sixties, Pierre BOISSONNEAU (4th generation) undertook the project of extending and modernising this vineyard.

The Vineyard today

Today, the 72 hectares of this estate produce a full range of great wines which are sold all over the world.
Since 2007 the vineyard is being converted to organic farming.
The 2011 vintage will be the first to be certified under the trade name: NATURA VINUM.

A wide range to suit every moment ...
An unusual geographical location...
Available in red, white and rosé, Chateau La Vieille Tour will always find a place on your table, whatever the time of day.
Cote du marmandais is a small surface apellation, but owing to the specific varietal wines "Abouriou" are unlike any other.
Result of many years of efforts, the vineyard is certified organic farming since 2011.

Located between Dordogne and Garonne rivers, our vineyard benefits from the mild and humid air which rises up from the sea and travels down the Garonne valley.
Situated 70 kilometers to the south-east of BORDEAUX and 10 kilometers from La Reole, the estate stretches over the right bank of the river across the hillsides of Saint Michel de Lapujade.
