More than 180 years of experience
In 1839 that Pierre BOISSONNEAU bought this estate which is situated in the area of the Bordeaux appellation, on the Entre-Deux-Mers plateau.

It was Eleanor of Aquitaine in 1150, then Queen of England, who ordered the first vines to be planted here by monks.
During sixties, Pierre BOISSONNEAU (4th generation) undertook the project of extending and modernising this vineyard.

Since 2010 the vineyard is being converted to organic farming.

The 2013 vintage will be the first to be certified under the trade name:  VINUM NATURA and Chateau de La Vieille Tour

· 1150 Eleanor of Aquitaine makes wine to export to England
· 1839 Pierre Boissonneau buys a house and vineyards at Saint Michel de Lapujade
· 1960 extension and modernization of the estate
· 1974 first marketing in bottles
· 1990 development 'export
· 2010 conversion to organic farming

Culture biologique
Organic viticulture leads to an increase in the labor resource to compensate for the lower use of products:
- observation in the vineyard to anticipate interventions
- mechanical management of weeds.
It results in an increase in production costs. (Source SudVinBio)
