CERTIFIED ORGANIC & BIODYNAMIC

We produce artisanal wines from organic farming, respecting our terroir. High quality estate wines, balanced and aromatic. Through our commitment to certified organic & biodynamic winery and farming, we are protecting our environment and land for our generation and the one to come.

CERTIFIED ORGANIC

Our organic wines are governed by the European and French regulations for organic farming. The family Estate achieved the organic certification of the 25 ha in 2011; process that started in 2007.

Our certification is under the control of the Institute QUALISUD, created in 1965. it is control tool set up by professionals in agriculture and agri-food tahat audits us at least once a year. The ID of this institution can be seen on each of our bottle under the sign: FR BIO 16

Organic farming is a specific agricultural production system that excludes the use of chemical fertilizers, synthetic pesticides, GMOs and limits the use of inputs.

This mode of production manages production globally by promoting the agrosystem but also biodiversity, soil activities and biological cycles.

The benefits that society can get from organic farming are manifold in terms of preserving the quality of the soil, biodiversity, air and water. These processing methods favor the enhancement of the natural characteristics of our wines.

CERTIFIED BIODYNAMIC

In November 2020, 12 years after the organic farming conversion, we engaged the biodynamic farming conversion in the entire vineyard. Biodynamic farming is a form of organic farming that is holistic, regenerative and positive. We got the certification in 2021.

It is a holistic agriculture that takes a new look at nature: it considers the farm and more generally the earth as a living organism. It promotes the development of more autonomous and diversified farms. It also takes into account, as far as possible, the cycles that punctuate the life of the Earth (solar and lunar cycles for example) to optimize agricultural work and the quality of products (conservation in particular). Biodynamics relies on all the intelligence of Nature to support plants and animals towards harmonious development.

It is a regenerative agriculture: regenerative of the soil but also of the vines and the quality of wine. Through the use of composts and preparations based on medicinal plants, silica and cow dung, biodynamics increases the fertility and biodiversity of soils, and in particular their humus content.
It also supports vines in their development and strengthens their immunity.

It is a positive winegrowing cultures, which we enjoy practicing because it offers concrete solutions to several current issues: loss of soil fertility, climate change, loss of food quality, loss of farm autonomy, decline in biodiversity among others. Biodynamics intimately links Man and Nature and allows farmers to become actors again

Independant Winegrower

Since 2015, we are a member of the Independant Winegrower of France corporation that was launched in 1976 and count today around 7,000 winegrowers. We are really proud to be independant winemakers since 1839.

The independent winegrower cultivates his vines, raises and markets his wine himself. Only the winegrower who meets these criteria can join the Syndicate of Independent Winegrowers of France.
Responsible, the independent winegrower fully assumes the quality of his work, performs it with care and competence, with respect for the environment and with the aim of satisfying his customers.
Committed, he chooses to use innovative working methods, without distorting his heritage which he preserves and defends.
Professional, he perfectly knows his job, from vineyard management to winemaking and selling his wines to his customers. To mark this commitment and the quality of our work, we have signed the independent winegrower charter where we commit to:
• respect our terroir,
• work our vineyard,
• harvest our grapes,
• vinify and mature our wine,
• elaborate our brandy,
• bottle our production in our cellar,
• market our products,
• learn and evolve while respecting tradition,
• welcome, advise tasting and take pleasure in presenting the fruit of our labor and culture.
